Description

Long term database of morphometric measurements of Blainville’s beaked whales off El Hierro, Canary Islands (Eastern North Atlantic population) from aerial photographs. Steps to reproduce

Drone based aerial photograph collection (DJI Mavic 3 and Mavic 2) with addition of LIDAR altimeter for precise altitude estimation above the water. Data analysis using morphometric techniques based on Christiansen et al. 2018.
